A few opportunities

Two individuals sent me some info regarding different events happening in the area. One is from a fellow who is looking for help with a film he is creating. His contact info is in the message that follows:

I’m shooting a short film Labor Day weekend and I’m looking for a little help here and there. It’s really my first (fairly big) short film and I was wondering if there are people with the arts concerns group that might want to help, particularly with post production.

I don’t know if you have an email list you can forward this to, but if anyone IS interested, just have them contact me via email: onejustinwells@gmail.com.

Cheers,
Justin

Next is an email I got about a new show in Hollywood, put on by a friend of the Committee:

Hello everyone!

I’m excited to announce that the world premiere of my new comedy, WALKING INTO TRAFFIC, starts August 24 at Unknown Theater in Hollywood. I would be thrilled if you could make it. I’ve listed a brief synopsis below.

Sleepy office drone Bart Barton wakes up just long enough to hear radio newscaster Sophie Snyder break down in tears on the air. Both of them get fed up and set out on foot to change the world…but who the hell walks in Los Angeles?

The theater is located at 1110 N. Seward Street, just east of Highland and north of Santa Monica. Please see www.unknowntheater.com for more information.

We’re especially hopeful that we can fill the house on the first two weekends. As a result, we’re offering $10 tickets online for all performances from August 24-September 2. If you purchase tickets using the Unknown Theater website, on the credit card info page, you’ll find a drop-down menu which asks “How did you hear about us?” Choose the word BOOMBOX and your card
will be charged only $10 per ticket. The screen may still say $18 per ticket, but your statement will reflect the discounted charge. I know it sounds complicated, but if you have any questions, feel free to email me.

And of course, if you can’t make it the first two weekends, by all means, come another one! We run through October 13.

Thanks so much, and I look forward to seeing you there!
